The monkey, Pager, was trained to interact with the screen using a controller. After bringing the ball to the square, they gave him a banana smoothie. As he did that, the brain chip analyzed his brain neurons for calibration.

That’s nice… but:

After a few minutes of calibration, Pager plays the same game, but the controller is UNPLUGGED.

Pager thinks he's still using the controller, but he's actually using his brain.
