Meet Midjourney v5 👋🏻

The newest MidJourney model is just WOW! It can generate much more realistic images than any other model before.

Here are the upgrades they made:

  • Enhanced styles

  • Higher image quality (2x resolution increase)

  • More detailed and accurate images

  • Less unwanted text

  • Better image prompting

PLUS: Better hands and legs representations - Finally! ✋🏼🦶🏻

The V5 model is like a 'pro' mode, providing diverse outputs and being super responsive to the prompts.

Keep in mind, it might be a bit harder to use, so try longer, more explicit prompts that look like sentences.

NEW TECH

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Microsoft introduced 365 Copilot which adds AI assistance to their Office suite.

  • In Word: Copilot writes, edits, summarizes, and generates text;

  • In Excel: Reveals correlations, propose what-if scenarios, and suggest new formulas based on users’ questions;

  • In PowerPoint: users can create a presentation based on a Word document, complete with a slick deck, speaker notes, and source citations.

But one of the most powerful features is Business Chat which combines data from all apps to summarize chats and write emails.

Currently testing with small set of customers, and still not available for the general public.

WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON

🦙 Stripe launches GPT-4 powered docs. Developers can use natural language queries to GPT-4 and summarize relevant parts of the docs.

👀 Makers-in-Residence by Ben’s Bites. New program that supports folks to work on AI ideas. No cost for you, they’ll support you with community and marketing.

🏋🏻‍♀️  FlutterFlow announced AI features to build apps. Users can provide prompts and watch it craft beautiful designs and code. Early waitlist.

🤖 Leaked Discord Bot let folks try the image modality of GPT-4. This was the original bot that OpenAI used on the demo, but it was shut down yesterday.

📚 Reid Hoffman (Linkedin Founder) wrote the first book with GPT-4. It’s called Impromptu: Amplifying our Humanity through AI.
