An intriguing thread by Taranjeet has a list of use cases where ChatGPT goes wrong. From reasoning, self-awareness, and scientific facts to math problems and psychological tests β it seems like there are some biases and "missing information". Sometimes it can't answer some basic facts like "What's the fastest mammal"
But, one use case is a bit disturbing.
Bias around race and gender.
Here's an example from this long thread that showcased this bias ππ»
Did you think about verifying if this is true?
I did. A couple of times.
Some results are okay, like this ππ»
But when I hit "Try again", the model "optimizes" to give me an answer based on the parameters in my prompt, no mather how discriminatory they are. πΆ ππ»
A lot more work to be done... for sure.
