Let's get it
FEATURED
AI will change how we create and use software

ChatGPT and CoPilot can be extremely useful for professional developers who want to do things faster.
GitHub reported that around 45% of the code is now assisted by Copilot. And many developers say that AI is making them more productive.
Yes, this is an obvious way how LLMs can help developers.
But how can LLMs help end-users?
1. End-user programming
Imagine that you need an invoicing platform. Youβll probably pay a SaaS like Quickbooks, and chances are that the platform will fill 70% of your needs. For some specific use-cases (and I know this from experience π₯²) the app is not able to help you.
Using AI, and this is all in theory right now, you can modify and change your interface or add a new feature into Quickbooks using just prompts.
Chat interface to write invoices? Done.
2. Build, donβt buy
Similar to no-code, AI will extend the power for non-technical founders/makers to build one-off apps for specific tasks, without having to buy complicated off-the shelf app.
3. UI on demand / Dynamic UI
More so, developers and end-users can let AI tell them which UI/UX is best for a specific task. Give the AI a list of photos for a social platform == it will create a feed of those photos. Folks are calling this Dynamic UI.
A lot of smart people are discussing the impact that AI might have on software and end-users.
I do recommend you read this article to get a more detailed picture and start thinking about the future!
WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON
π¦ OpenAI invests in a robotic company 1X. 1X is developing robots for labor & household tasks. This is direct competition against Elon's Tesla Bot. Shots are fired.
πΈ OpenAI tour sign-up form. Sam Altman is going to be visiting many cities this summer and wants to talk with developers and users. You can sign up to host an event or participate in one.
ππ»ββοΈ Italian regulators banned ChatGPT. Italyβs national privacy regulator has ordered an effective ban on the AI chatbot ChatGPT.
