Yes, that’s correct.

This model uses fMRI data to generate images of brain activity without the need for complex deep-learning models. Instead, simple brain activity data is fed into Stable Diffusion to recreate the images.

The main goal of this research is to examine how diffusion models relate to our actual brain activity, and what are the similarities between them.

Here are the most important details:

  1. The ChatGPT API is 10x cheaper than older models ($0.002 per 1k tokens)

  2. The model behind ChatGPT is called gpt-3.5-turbo, and you can use it for other regular use-cases and not just chat

  3. The Whisper API is extremely cheap as well, only $0.006 / minute

  4. You can use the Whisper API for transcriptions and translation (no support for SRT file/ or files larger than 25MB)
